Dr Araz Boghossian

Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Meet Araz, her Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.

We describe Araz as a kind and caring presence. She’s always helping people and is the first to advocate for positive change.

Araz has been working in obstetrics and gynaecology for over a decade and specialises in high-risk obstetrics (including pregnancy diabetes management), general gynaecology and colposcopy; as well as paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. She’s currently studying a Master of Human Rights and has a strong and passionate interest in global health.

Araz completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) with the University of Sydney in 2010 and has since received a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In the past she’s worked as a Staff Specialist at Westmead Hospital (Sydney), and she is currently a Gynaecology Staff Specialist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (Sydney) and an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Staff Specialist at Lyell McEwin Hospital.

Araz is passionate about making personal connections with women and helping them feel confident and supported during some of their most vulnerable moments. She loves that her provides a female-centric space that’s comfortable, convenient, and accessible to women, ensuring a high level of care through a skilled and multidisciplinary team.

When not at her, Araz can usually be found running around after her one-year-old baby boy, Orson. That’s possibly why she’s always on the lookout for good parks with coffee shops nearby. She enjoys eating well and relaxing with family and friends. Whilst her hobbies include hiking, travel and going to the opera.
