Dr Angela Teh

Meet Angela, her General Physician

Angela can best be described as an enthusiastic clinician who believes in achieving good patients care through maintaining strong communication with her clients and treating them with gentle kindness.

Specialising in general medicine for adults, preconception counselling and obstetric medicine, Angela’s passions are centered around women who require specialised care during delicate times of their lives, such as pregnancy.

Angela believes medical care is not just about pharmacological treatment, but providing continuity of care through a balanced, individualised approach with rationale investigation and intervention to maintain maternal wellbeing. She is also an advocate of pre-conception counselling for high-risk patients to minimise the risk of potential complications during the antenatal and postpartum periods. 

Since graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2004, Angela has worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in acute and general medicine. She is currently employed part-time by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, North Adelaide as Obstetric Physician in obstetric medicine.

Her private works include providing services to the Gawler region as a visiting consultant for the general and obstetric patients, and Port Augusta Hospital maternity services. Angela is also a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand. 

When not at her, Angela can be found gardening, meditating over Psalms and hymns, or out exploring new places with family and friends.
